save index.dwt.php as new page and modify question

Hello.

I have searched the forum with no luck. I have been modifying the default theme from the admin menu. I have the home page set and am trying to create 3 unique landing pages based on the home page.

Right now when I click on a link the secondary page has the sidebar links for products and the gradation separating it from the content. For the landing pages (linking from the home page) I need to eliminate the sidebar and gradation so I can use the whole page to layout content. These pages will link to pages with the side bar with content to the right.

I have tried to create templates in the theme section but cannot apply them to a page. I also tried to save the template as a php file in the root directory but lose the links. I am using PS 4.5.

Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Rob

I found a thread that mentioned the XML theme settings file and figured out how to make it work at around 2am. Works Great! I guess over-caffeination helps with coding :-)
