Trying to establish a connection between Dreamweaver and MySQL

Disclaimer.... To start, this is my first time with WebAssit and setting up a webserver and database connection. I've been doing faily well following all of the documention, but when trying to establish the connection from my newly created site to a test database, I get the following error...

"An unidentified error has occured".

Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this?

this means that there is an issue in the Dreamweaver Site Definition in the way the testing server is configured, most likely the problem is the URL Prefix for the testing server.

are you using a local or remote testing server?

I recommend using a local testing server, many host are problematic at best when trying them as a remote testing server in Dreamweaver.

the learning resources page has details on installing a local testing server, also see the "Defining a Dynamic Site in Dreamweaver" tutorial on the learning resources page.
