Facebook Like Limit Workaround

Hi

We are using the Facebook like as a voting system on a website (the video that gets the most likes wins the competition). However we have come across a problem, we have got to 1K (1000) likes on one video and the number is now stuck.

I have Googled this and it appears to be a Facebook issue but I wondered if anyone had a work around for the problem.
