add to cart from recordset before page load

I cannot get this working at all.

I have a recordset being filtered by a url or a post of a form variable and it still on page load will not add a item to the cart.

I can but a ATC button on the same page, and it will insert a item into the cart, but the onpage load behavior will not work.

ATC code is after the recordset.

Any suggestions?

For this you will need to use the add to cart server behavior instead of the add to cart button.

Go to Window -> Server Behaviors, Click the plus button and select eCart -> Add to cart.

set the trigger to use before page load.

I have been using the server behavior , but it still does not add the item to the shopping cart.

The action goes after the recordset. So i have that set too..

I need to see a copy of the page then to examine code.

compress the php page into a zip archive and attach the zip file to your response.

the rsProduct recordset is being filtered on a posted form element named "licence"

That means that the page that calls the atc.php page will need to post the license value using a form to it.

If it is not adding anything to the cart on page load, that is because the recordset is blank.

either there is no post with a license value being sent to the atc.php page, or the license value being sent to the atc.php page is not valid.

When i post to the page i have that form element echo on that page and it does work and shows both the the echo PLUS the recordset data. But it does not add anything to the cart.

I have tried removing the filter from the recordset and just sending any data to the cart from the db and it does not work. Currently the only way it works is with a form submit.

I am lost as i have tried just about every which way. I have even tried just putting charecters in the bindings panel without db data, and running the page, and that doesnt work. Is all of the code in order? Is this a bug with the software or just something I am missing?

please send a link to your site so i can see this in the browser.

make sure to specify where the initial page is as well as the view cart page you have created.

I will also need a copy of the view cart page so i can see the code.
