PayPal IPN Creation

Hi,
A site I designed ages ago (before I started using WebAssist) is due for a complete revamp.

It is a booking engine for an event company and requires a lot of custom pages that PowerStore is unlikely to be able to cope with.

If I were to ask WebAssist to help me with the coding for a PayPal IPN page etc, how much would it cost and how quickly could it be done?

we could help you create the IPN page in premier support ticket, a premiere support ticket would cost $99 for a half hour of one on one training through screen sharing using adobe acrobat connect. I dont think it should take more than the half hour to create the IPN page.

You can schedule when the premier appointment is to take place.

That's great. I'll be in touch about the IPN when I get the go ahead.
One last question though: does a user HAVE to return to the website where the purchase was made for the IPN to work properly?

I ask because at the moment, if a user does not return to the website where they booked their ticket, the IPN appears to fail and the booking does not show as confirmed. We would have to make the IPN work as soon as payment is made rather than the user returning to the site.

No, the user does not have to return to the site for IPN to work

the IPN page is a page thew user will never see


Paypal will make the post to the IPN when the transaction is completed with the merchant bank.
