File Permissions Problem on Install

I tried to install PowerCMS for a client and on the install, I am getting a file permissions problem on the Server Diagnostic Check page. I checked all the Web Assist folders on the server and they all have 666 permissions, what do I need to do to fix this? I cant change them myself to 777....not sure if that has anything to do with it...?

Please help!
Thanks
John

the 666 permission level should work, but this level needs to be applied to the folder you are installing power cms to on the server, in other words the parent folder that you have uploaded the power cms files to.
