No Record Found - but not what you think

I have three tables (LINES; SERIES; FIGURES)
I have a set of Data Assist search, insert, update, results, details pages for each table.

The LINES table/DA set is the parent of SERIES and the SERIES table/DA set is a parent of FIGURES.

So on the LINES details page I have a list of all of the SERIES that belong to the selected LINE. And under each SERIES I have all of the FIGURES that belong to each of them.
Likewise, on the SERIES details page I have a list of all of the FIGURES that belong to the selected SERIES.

My issue is that when I add a new LINE or SERIES, I cannot pull them up with the details page UNLESS I add a SERIES or FIGURE to them respectively via the database.

The LINES and SERIES populate correctly in the DB and both come up in searches fine. Their proper ID's are showing in the URL on the details page however because a 'child' SERIES (for LINES) or FIGURE (for SERIES) is not attached to them as they are "new". If this makes sense. If I do manually add a SERIES of FIGURE and tie it to the new LINE or SERIES then I can view the details page fine.

I don't think I had this issue before I added a repeating selection loop within a repeating section, although I can't be too sure.

I don't know what info you need to help diagnose.

if I understand you correctly, if you add a new line, you get no results unless the line also has a series and the series also has a figure ?

so basically the parent does not show if there are no children (and grandchildren) ?

if this is the case, it is probably down to the JOINS in your select statement

try making left joins, so that the parent will show, even if there is no child data

Yes, you explained it in 95% less words. :)

I'll play with that and let you know how it turns out. Thanks Craig.
