Paypal eCommerce Toolkit Shipping problem

Hi Guys,

I have just started using web assists products and have begun with the PayPal e Commerce Toolkit version 4.5.4

when I add buy now button there are shipping cost details to enter which are included and shown when a buyer clicks this button, but if i add a add to cart button and the buyer clicks on this button he or she is directed to the PayPal add to cart page and no shipping costs are shown ( I understand this is probablt because they have not chosen to checkout yet but my problem is that when they are directed to the PayPal add to cart page they have the ability to check out from there and can do so without having to pay for the added shipping costs.

Is there a way to solve this problem? any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using DW CS5 if this matters.

you can edit the code to add shipping and shipping2 hidden form elements.

from the paypal API referance:
e_howto_html_Appx_websitestandard_htmlvariables

  shipping

Optional

The cost of shipping this item. If you specify shipping and shipping2 is not defined, this flat amount is charged regardless of the quantity of items purchased.

This use of the shipping variable is valid only for Buy Now and Add to Cart buttons.

Default – If profile-based shipping rates are configured, buyers are charged an amount according to the shipping methods they choose.

shipping2

Optional

The cost of shipping each additional unit of this item. If omitted and profile-based shipping rates are configured, buyers are charged an amount according to the shipping methods they choose.

Valid only for Buy Now and Add to Cart buttons.

this example would set the shipping to $1 dollar for the first item, and $0.50 for each additional.

<input type="hidden" name="shipping" id="shipping" value="1.00" />
<input type="hidden" name="shipping2" id="shipping2" value="0.50" />
