Bing Search works TOO well!!!

Bing Search works TOO well!!!

Installation was a breeze, got up and running in minutes... what a pleasure compared to the frustrations of Yahoo!BOSS. Great job, WA!

The only problem is the following:

No matter what search term is entered (even if the search field is left blank) — every page on the site comes up in the results.

Any help or direction with this would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thank you!

Thanks for your prompt response, Jason. The results page can be found here:

The search form itself is also on the page (and repeated throughout the site). Please let me know if you'll require any additional files to view.

Thanks again, greatly appreciated!

the problem is that you replaced the bing search form with your own:

<form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="http://www.ecommonwealthbank.com/results.php">
<label>
<input type="text" name="SearchCNB" id="SearchCNB" class="boxform" />
</label>
<label>
<input type="image" src="images/btn-go.gif" name="searchbtn" id="searchbtn" value="Submit" />
</label>
</form>

1) the method of the bing search form needs to be set to GET instead of post

2) The name of the text box in the form must be set to "Bing_query"

the form code should be:

<form id="form1" name="form1" method="get" action="http://www.ecommonwealthbank.com/results.php">
<label>
<input type="text" name="Bing_query" id="Bing_query" class="boxform" />
</label>
<label>
<input type="image" src="images/btn-go.gif" name="searchbtn" id="searchbtn" value="Submit" />
</label>
</form>
