Necessary Files

After installing the new Power CMS program, I can't get the "necessary files" to load. I highlighted the text, choose CMS>Add Content to PowerCMS, choose database connection, entered name for content location, entered name for content area the clicked ok. No files are being added. No indication that anything is wrong. What am I doing wrong?
