eCart Wizard and AuthorizeNet MDF

eCart 5.0.3 / PHP / MySQL / DW CS5

I used the checkout wizard to create the forms. I now need to remove some of the Merchant-Defined Fields (MDF) that are being passed to AuthorizeNet. How do I go about doing this?

are you using the Authorize.Net AIM or SIM method?

I'm using AIM method.

The current setup is submitting to merchant defined fields: x_ship_to_phone and x_ship_to_fax

I set the code within the array on the confirm.php pag to assign a value of "" to each of these two variables ensuring that no value is submitted for either on of them. Is this the best approach?

on the confirm page, open the server behaviors panel, then double click the eCart Local Checkout server behavior to make changes to the values being posted to authorize.net.

That's hw I was making these type of changes on the pages I had created in the past. However, for some reason, the wizard created confirm page does not have that particular server behavior listed.

That usually happens if you edit the code by hand and Dreamweaver no longer recognizes the server behavior is applied to the page.

You could remove the code and reapply the Local Checkout server behavior. Sometimes an extra space or line break can be what is causing it to not show in the server behaviors window, so it can be hard to find and fix it once it is in that state. I'd say the best bet is to either continue to edit by hand if you are comfortable with that, or to delete the existing code and add the server behavior again to return it to the correct syntax.
