Syntax Error

Hi,

when I ad the social Toolkit (1.0 Version or Beta Version) I get an Syntax Error from Dreamweaver:

<a class="DiggThisButton DiggIcon" href="http://digg.com/submit?url=<?php echo urlencode('http://www.lovethisone.com/shop2.php'); ?>"></a> </div>

See the attachment, too.

Cheers
Denis

I dont think Dreamweaver is inspecting the code correctly, o you get a syntax error in the browser.

How about if you close the page and open it in DW again? Does it still show a syntax error?

it seems that its working right. but the roll over text (tooltip) is missing at the 3rd and 5th icon :-(

is there anyone else who got this error in dreamweaver?

cheers,
Denis

post a link where i can see the issue please.

I have not had this particular problem, but i have had Dreamweaver get stuck on saying there is a syntax error in the page when the syntax is correct on a number of occasions.

I created a special page, and now DWCS5 de_DE shows an Error on line 28 that says

<!-- Icon Button -->

:-)
very strange.

social.php

by the way the roll-over (tooltip) names are still missing on 3 and 5.

cheers

yeah, Dreamweavers syntax highlighting does not seam very reliable at all.

For the tooltips, it looks like a title is not being added for some of the icons, i will log this to be fixed in a future update, in the mean time, you can add the tirtle tag manually.

for example, the dig link:
<a class="DiggThisButton DiggIcon" href="http://digg.com/submit?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lovethisone.com%2Fsocial.php"></a>

should have a "Digg" title:
<a class="DiggThisButton DiggIcon" href="http://digg.com/submit?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lovethisone.com%2Fsocial.php" title="Digg"></a>

I am getting the exact same issue.

Could you just clarify if this is going to cause any problems in my website.

I don't want to use this on my site if it is going to cause me problems.

It is a false error that will not cause any problems on the published site. If you do have problems just give us the url and we can make sure to help you get them resolved.
