Side Menu Display

I think the side menu doesn't function properly:

1: When I click on the top category with sub-category the products are not shown, it shows that there are no results. (see attachment 1)

2: Also, when I click on the top category to close the sub-category, it doesn't hide the sub-category(was able to in older ps versions)

3: The icon_accordion_open.png and icon_accordion_close.png are not visible.(See attachments)

1) when you assign a product to subcategory, it does not automatically assign the product to the main category as well, you need to select the main category and the subcategory in the list to assign it to both.

2) The Power Store side menu does not collapse like Power Store 3 did.

3) since the menus no longer collapse, those icons arte no hidden. if you want to show them, in the accordion_styles.css file, change:

1. How can I change the default state for the side menu. I need to have it collasped as a default (not expanded).

2. where do I change the padding for the side menu sub categories?

1) This is not supported in the power store side menu.

2) in the webassist/plugins/side_menu/nested_accordion/accordion_styles.css file you can change the padding-lef for the second group in the following selector, you may need to adjust the other groups if you have sub catagories.

can you please give me some add'l guidance? My aim is to reduce the height of the menus that display (main category and all sub categories). Adjusting the leff padding won't achieve this.

Also, is there a way to customize the code for the collasping to be achieved? With such a HUGE list of main categories for this store, it is necessary. I appreciate the prompt assistance.
