Siteimport unsuccessul

I am sorely disappointed with siteimporter and would not have purchased your app should there have been a demo version available

firstly it doesn't do what is claims to do, it says it effortlessly imports a site into dreamweaver. Now clearly that is not true, it does nothing of the sort. I just downloads the site and links into a folder. That is not a dreamweaver import, or project.

secondly it is terrible at what it does, it is not multithreaded, and runs so slowly my machine becomes unresponsive, despite the fact i have 8gigs of ram, a 500gb SSd and a 2.3GHz core i7 processor

thirdly every single site i have tried importing is broken - see for yourself, try the following test sites i did

html

(after downloading, try the Choose color style buttons at the top)

or try
filmslide/
or
www.sencha.com

Siteimport failed at every site i tried

you have to first define a site in Dreamweaver, then have site import set to import the files to the root folder of the Dreamweaver site.

Site Import download the browser source of the pages and rewrites the links on the fly to recreate the site on your computer. It follows any html links to find the other pages of the site to download, it cannot follow Flash or Javscript based navigation however. the sites you have linked to appear to be flash and Javascript based.

If you are not happy with site import you can request a refund if you purchased within 15 days by contacting the sales department through email at sales AT webassist DOT com

refund

I have 3 times requested a refund from sales@webassist.com, still in the first 15 days, and thus far have not been refunded.

I forwarded this to our sales department, they should be putting the refund through today.
