404 Not Found - checkout.php

I’ve tested the checkout process with the option Gateway = Paypal Express Only (using Paypal sandbox) and everything works correctly when the paypal button is used to purchase a product.

But when I change to Gateway = None in the Admin area I get errors when the checkout button on the cart.php page is selected.

In Firefox and IE I get the following message – 404 Not found - The page you requested could not be located on this server. checkout.php

Opera displays an additional message – Wrong certificate name. The server’s certificate did not match its hostname. Accept? And then when I select ‘Approve’ I get the error message 404 Not found - The page you requested …’

Can you help me to resolve this please?

The site is at powerstore

the browser is looking for the checkout page using the HTTPS address:
checkout.php

the 404 error indicates that you have not uploaded the power store files to the HTTPS location on your server, only the standard HTTP location.

many hosts will have a different root folder for secure HTTPS connection. make sure to upload the power store files to the HTTPS folder on the remote server, if you need help with this, you should contact your host.

I contacted my host and this is their reply:

"The Plus hosting account you have for golden-bay.co.nz does provide a free shared SSL certificate. To use that you will need to configure the shop to use

powerstore/

as the secure address.

Files do not need to be uploaded to any specific secure directory. If they work using the non secure address they will work using the shared SSL certificate address above."

Jason .... Can you please tell me where I can configure the shop to use the URL above?

in this case you will need to use an htaccess rule to redirect all http traffic coming to:
powerstore

to go to the secure site at:
powerstore/
