SecurityAssist 2.0.1 - use and installation errors

1. Bought the upgrade
2. Installed but could not find any 'menu' reference to product
3. Uninstalled
4. Tried to re-install - error
5. followed 'view our simple instructions on deleting the .dat file' instructions
6. re-installed all WA extensions (2hr invested at this point)
7. tried to run SecurityAssist functions - java errors
8. previewed rendered pages - errors and warnings about old version of ValidationAssist (I have the latest version)
9. Now trying to uninstall SecrityAssist (1h so far for uninstall and forum search )
10. Suspecting I'll have to repeat 4 -9.
11. Thinking this is costing me more than just the upgrade cost.
12. If I can't get it resolve today - taking the 15 day refund path.
13. I also had to make this post twice because the captch would not show up in FF 4.

What is your OS?

What version of Dreamweaver?

you say "errors and warnings about old version of ValidationAssist", do you mean Validation Toolkit? The Behaviors in security assist will replace validation toolkit, this should be uninstalled prior to installing security assist.

The menu access point for security assist 2 is WebAssist -> Security Assist

When reporting that an error has occurred, please include the text of the error.

SecurityAssist 2.0.1 - use and installation errors

Thanks for the quick reply.

1. Windows 7 Pro
2. DW cs5 build 4993
3. Yes, I meant 'Validation Toolkit' and I have removed now. I just didn't find that information on the SecurityAssist 2 resources page.
4. The error I received during installation were: 'Internal error. The extension will not be instaled"
5. The errors I received after installation seem to have something to do with the spy validation. I'll post the error when I capture it.
6. I now have SecurityAssist 2 installed and, I would say 99% operational, (remembering spry errors)
7. That said, I now can not get the SecurityAssist 2, Authenticate User to redirect to the page I specify. It just returns to the login page and triggers the 'Log in success' WA_Auth_Rule Passes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Spry Errors also

Jason,

I don'tknow if this is exactly the same issue, but it included spry validation errors. A screen shot is included.

The only thing about this is I had added a column birthdate to the table as a validation requirement.

I hope you can help here. The birthdate validation is necessary.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

johna1964

Same problem different extension

So...I'm getting a little tired of all these issues. I'm having the same issues. I was getting multiple javascript issues during the wizard for security assist. I deleted the .dat file, but the issue remained. I uninstalled security assist, then tried to re install (version 2.2) - and I received the same message as stated above about internal errors. Then I thought to try and uninstall my other plug-ins and reinstall in order. Then I received a message about an internal error that I couldn't uninstall.

About to explode here. Help.
