Change: image sizes, thumbs, and background for "Ribbon + Fullsize + Lightbox"

Hi,

I really need to change the size of the images and the template for:

"Ribbon + Fullsize + Lightbox"

I have so far managed to change the size of the images to 400px x 300px using this thread:

showthread.php?t=8844

However, when it comes to changing everything else I have come across problems…

Using this PDF:

powergallery_custom_gallery_ht.pdf

I have managed to change the number of thumbnails from 10x to 5x, however from there it gets problematic as it only refers to the "common.css" file for:

"Ribbon + Lightbox" and "Grid + Lightbox"

as opposed to:

""Ribbon + Fullsize + Lightbox"

Which appears to be different!..

Here is a link to what I have done so far:

holiday-home-to-rent-in-looe-2.php

Can someone please tell me how to now adjust the sizes of the outline grey box and the grey ribbon along the bottom so that everything fits within the boarders of the white background??..

Also:

As you can see in the link above I am also getting the following error message:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/islandvi/public_html/gallery/galleries/global.php on line 19

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/islandvi/public_html/gallery/galleries/global.php on line 22

Is this just because the frame is too big for the page or is there another issue???..

Just in case it is needed Here is the code that it refers to:

14: chdir($globaldir );
15: mysql_select_db($database_powergallery, $powergallery);
16:
17: $GLOBALS['wa_settings'] = array();
18: $result = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM wa_settings');
19: while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) {
20: $GLOBALS['wa_settings'][$row['name']] = $row['value'];
21: }
22: mysql_free_result($result);
23:
24: #####

Please help!..

Many thanks in advance!.. :-)

p.s.

I have now run through the process again on a different page with the "Grid + Lightbox" gallery customised and installed as detailed in the webassist literature (above), however I am still getting the same error message as before..

Here is the link to the new page:

holiday-home-to-rent-in-looe.php

So it looks like this is a separate issue?..

Any help with both issues (this one and the first one above) would be much appreciated!..

for the main image size, edit the width property of the following selectors ion the common.css file:

.pg-rfl

.pg-rfl .fullsize

.pg-rfl .title

.pg-rfl .nav

the mysql error does not show if i access the gallery directly:
ribbon_fullsize_lightbox_island_view_custom/

this leads me to thing it is caused by something on the holiday-home-to-rent-in-looe-2.php page, send a copy of that page i a zip archive so I can take a look at the code.

CSS and Zip File

Great thanks I'll take a look at the CSS file now!..

Please see attached for a zip file of the page in question!..

If you could help me figure this out it would be much appreciated as it's the last thing I need to do to finish the site!.. :-D :-)

Hi Jason,

I have now adjusted the common.css file and it works great!.. thanks!..

However, there is still an odd issue with the display..

Check out the page here:

holiday-home-to-rent-in-looe-2.php

If you look at the botton of the gallery you can see that the thumbnails at the bottom have broken away from the rest of the gallery and have created a disjointed section with the navigation arrows on two separate lines!..

Can you help me resolve this too please!..

Thanks.

here is an updated copy of the galleries/global.php file that should correct the error you are getting.

the problem with the navigation on 3 lines is caused by setting the width, the current navigation needs to have at least 501 pixels in order to show on one line.

edit the ribbon to only show 4 thumbnails to make it fit in the space you have.

Hi,

I have uploaded the new global.php file that you sent me, however nothing has changed!.. :-(

Here:

holiday-home-to-rent-in-looe-2.php

I have also adjusted the gallery.js file to fit 4x thumbnails as you suggested but unfortunately it still breaks the line…

So changed to 3x thumbnails which now is all on one line, however when you try and click onto the ribbon the "Enlarge+" button appears and prevents you from doing so, in fact all clicking in the area of the thumbnails does is opens the enlarged gallery!..

ideas?..

(also, my next question before this happened was actually going to be:

"how do I move the Enlarge+ button so that is is back in the centre of the image where it belongs!... "

Update for other users:

It appears that this was a problem that was very specific just to me, but it has all been fixed by support staff now!.. :-) many thanks Jason!..

p.s.

in final resolution if anyone else wants to make this gallery smaller the one final thing that you need to do to fix the problem as quoted above, is this:

Title: RE: Change: image sizes, thumbs, and background for

edit the width of the .pg-rfl .fullsize .fullsize-enlarge property in the common.css

Hope this helps!..
