simple upload do not browse server

I am having trouble on a number of sites that we have using the html editor with the browse image taking way to much time and/or confusing users. I would like to be able to browse server (existing uploads) or upload new file. Can this be done? If so, please advise on the steps. If not, can we just offer upload and skip the browse server? Thank You!

browse server happens 1st and is too slow

I realize that they can just do a simple upload, however I the problem is the opportunity to upload is not there until after all the images have loaded in the browser server and on some sites this is taking way too much time and not efficient. I was wondering if we have the option to NOT browse the server or how that is controlled. Thanks,

no, the file browser needs to scan the folder before it can finish drawing the interface, this cannot be disabled.
