Show shipping charges in cart before checkout?

Would it be hard to show shipping charges in the cart before checkout?

I hate shopping on a site that doesn't show how much shipping is until after I put in my credit card info.

What would need to be done? I do have ecart 4, if that would help.

if you are using one of the shipping rate lookup providers, you cant show the shipping till the checkout form is submitted because you dont know where the package is going to be shipped to yet.

Most sites I shop have a box where you put your zip code and then it calculates the shipping.

Would that be hard?

No, power store does not support showing the shipping charge before the user has entered a shipping address on the checkout page.

Will the next power store have a zip code prices look up. I sell items on power store 4 and ship the items our self like furniture. Will the next power store have local zip code prices that i can custom input prices for every zip code with in my delivery range?

we have not begun development of the next version of power store so the feature set has not been determined yet.
