Datepicker form names

Datepicker form names

I am updating a bunch of existing pages with date pickers. I am replacing the select fields with text fields of the same name. When I insert the datepicker I put the text field name in the wizard. However, the text field name and id gets changed to datepicker_n and datepicker_

I don't want to have to go change a bunch of server side code for different $_POST array names. How do I properly specify the name and id of the fields tied to the date picker?

the date picker element should take the name you enter in the wizard, sometimes Dreamweaver wont recognize the name change unless you tab off the name after entering it.

if you need to change it after the fact, you can edit the name attribute of the form element in the code:

<input id="datepicker_1" name="mydatepicker" type="text" />

leave the ID as datepicker_x, but the name can be any valid form element name.
