using eCart 5 with PayPal Website Payments Standard

using eCart 5 with PayPal Website Payments Standard

Is this possible? Are there instructions or a tutorial on how to implement this?
I currently use First Data with Linkpoint payment gateway with my eCart5 site, but I want to change to the PayPal Website Payments Standard (to avoid the monthly fees I'm paying).

Is there a way to change my site checkout easily, or would I need to reprogram the entire checkout?

Please advise.
Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, this is very possible.

PayPal payments standard is the most popular payment gateway with my clients.

If you are using a database driven site that stores orders check out the PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification feature) which eCart supports. It's a really nice tool to trigger confirmation of payment to the backend database of your system and the client.

Cheers
Ian
