I wanna recieve email 2-3 in a day from a person

I have a form in my website..
it contains
NAME
EMAIL
FILE
COMMENTS
SUBMIT (CLICK)
All the above gets sent to my mail.. everything is fine. now i want an additional thing in dat.. lets cal a user as "X". So i want "X" to send me files only 2-3 times in a day.. Not like he keeps sending files n files alltime when he is free... Or may be like after 6hours or so... Please help me in this.. I hope u understood wt i m saying..

I think its something to do with IP address.. like not to recieve likes from same IP again n again.. like da way it works in rapidshare etc..

You would need to use a database for this.

each time the User fills in the form, their email address and today's date is gets stored in a new record.

then create a record set that filters the email address column on the one that is entered, and the date column on today's date, using the COUNT function to count the number of times they have filled in the form today.

you would then use Validation toolkit to validate the number of rows in the recordset using number validation, this will allow the form to submit only if they have not submitted the form a specified number of times.


This should be fairly easy to accomplish if you are comfortable with creating database tables and writing SQL code. If you are not comfortable with these things, it will be a difficult process to grasp, I would recommend either signing up for a premium ticket where we could work with you in a one on one screen sharing session, or posting in the Job board to see if one of the community members would take on the task for you.
