Multiple record delete confirm

Hi,

I have a multiple record update form working well.
I added the multiple record delete with checkboxes to the same page, seemed to make sense.

Updates and deletes all work really well on submit, however:

I would like a "Do you really want to delete" confirm dialog to activate on submit, but only if a delete checkbox is checked.

Any ideas will be appreciated

you would need to hand code a javascript function to show the confirm message on click of the delete button.

a quick Google search of:
javascript confirm form submit

yielded this page as the first result:
confirmsubmit.asp

I'll have a close look at that link, however it is "asp". I am using PHP/MySql.

Currently I'm using checkboxes as indicated in your multiple delete documentation, this example has a delete button for each item.

I am not an experienced javascript programmer, and cant find a solution that will scan a repeated region for any checked checkbox when the confirm button is clicked.

Checkbox names are usually used to identify the element, but the repeat region behaviour renames each checkbox.

I have no problem creating a javascript to identify one box, but not sure how to have any one or multiple checkboxes identified onclick of the submit button.

it doesnt matter that the site is for asp, the script is still javascript.

You're going to have a tough time showing the message only if a checkbox is checked, the best bet is to show the message any time the button is clicked regardless of the checkbox status.
