Universal email and Ecart checkout form

Universal email and Ecart checkout form

Can I include an email receipt after a person has filled out a ecart checkout form before they get sent to PayPal.

I have a registration form I have made using ecarts checkout page and would like to send an email confirmation to the user once they click continue.

Can I easily use universal email for this function, if so, what would I need to do?

Thanks

you can add universal email to the confirm page and set it to trigger on any form post.

the will send the email when the checkout form post to the confirm page.

Doesn't seem to be working

Jason,

I don't seem to be getting anywhere with this. The site is hosted on Godaddy and I have read through all the posts I could find, so I know Godaddy is an issue.

I have tried using both the smtpout.secureserver.net and relay-hosting.secureserver.net and I don't seem to get results. I am not getting any errors what so ever to indicate anything is wrong.

The domain this is used in is a subdomain of the root, does UE have to be in the root directory to work correctly or does it matter.

UE behavior is on the confirm page and set to any form post so the email information should be coming from the checkout page. I have spent 2 days on this as of now with no results using different configurations.

I am including the confirm and checkout pages with the zip file attached in case you need them.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help.

code order is the enemy here.

in the Universal Email behaivor, you have set the to address to use the eCartCheckoutForm_email session variable.

the universal email code is at lines 24 - 111

The code to set the session is after that at lines 149 - 154.

this means that the session does not exist yet when the email is trying to send, so the to address gets sent to empty value.

you need to either set the to address to use the email POST, or move the UE code so it is after the set session code.

That took care of it Jason, I received the email within 5 minutes of submitting the form.

Thanks for the help.
