News Section on main page

1: The separator is not showing up between each news events
2: Only 2 news event are showing up when I have 4 setup
3: How do I allow additional information to show up under each news event instead of 3 lines of information?

1) Most likely there is conflicting css causing the separator not to show, I would need a link to the site to troubleshoot that.

2- 3 ) in the webassist/plugins/cms_templates/news.php page, you can change the number of articles to show by editing line 4:

php:
$newsArticles = 2;

and the number of characters to display by editing line 7:

php:
$newsLength = 190;

Thanks Jason.

The link to the site is www.gbtsslu.com

In additional, the site just doesn't show up properly in IE and some images as well.

looking back at the default power store designs, there is not suppose to be a separator between the news items.

you can add one if you like by adding a border-bottom attribute to the #contentWrapper .sidebar .news ul selector in the webassist/themes/GBTS/css/default_styles.css file:

#contentWrapper .sidebar .news ul {
border-bottom: 1px solid #000000;
list-style: none outside none;
}

I dont see any issues testing your page in IE7 or IE8, please be more specific, I will also need more specific details on what problems you are having with "some images"

these screen shots are too small to read.

can you compress the images to a zip file so they will not be re-sized.

the lightning bolt icons you see in Fire Fox when logged into the admin section are the live edit links.

when logged into the admin section, you can click on the lightning bolt icons to edit the content for that section.

The issue with the news section pushing over, and the button links not having rounded corners are standard cross browser issues with IE7.

IE7 does not support rounded corners like Fire Fox does, and uses a different box modal for positioning lists.

It is simply not possible for the IE7 layout to match the Fire Fox layout 100% due to differences in the way each browser interprates the CSS Standard.

Where can I just remove the code for the lighting bolts for the news section so that everything will be consistent.

Also, how do I rectify the news section heading for FireFox. See attachment send in the earlier post?
