Query String and Recordset

I am new don't know what I am doing wrong.

I set up the querystrings and then I select recordset in DW. When I select Recordset the Query strings no longer appear in the binding panel or can be selected when trying to use sort feature in dataassist.

Recordset shows with lightning bolts but querybindings are no where in the panel.

The code is however still on the php page itself.

Thank You.

Forgot... Recordset first the Query Second now they both show.

Hi Mike :)

I assume you have Dreamweaver.
I assume you have a MySQL server and a database with a table created with some fields.
I assume that you have created a MySQL connection in Dreamweaver.

You mentioned creating a Recordset.
Just a simple query would be

SELECT * FROM tablename_goes_here

That will work.

Be sure and save your page. Can you show a screenshot of what you're seeing?

.

No that isn't what is happening, it is just a bug.

Here is exactly what happens.

Click on Bindings tab, go to QueryString Binding and then I set up a record set. Usually you would see both Query and Record Set options when you click + or - on the binding tabs for those options.
When I click QueryString Binding ---> set up a Recordset the Query options + or - doesn't exist anymore it is blank all that shows under the binding tab would be the Recordset + or -

However when I click to create a Recordset First----> Then QueryString Bindings everything shows up as normal there is a + and - and show all the lightning bolt options for query otherwise not present.

The querystring binding needs to be used in conjunction with a recordset.

to use the querystring binding, a recordset must be created first
