Html Editor 2 adding " on update

Every time I try to update a page using Html editor 2. my links get reformatted in the source with " character:

<a href="&quot;content-box.php&quot;" rel="&quot;&quot;shadowbox[About];width=700;height=500&quot;&quot;">Read Peter's story here:</a></p>

This keeps breaking my links

Even if I update using source mode, when I go back to look at it the code it has added the quotes again.

most likely there is some formatting on the initial value of the HTML Editor instance.

Edit the HTML Editor Instance, click the lightning bolt next to initial value and reselect the recordset column that should be used, this will remove any formatting.
