Profile Update / PowerStore 4.5 and PowerMessenger

I am not sure if this is an issue or not but in my admin I have the short form registration selected, which works great. I have even managed to fully incorporate powermessenger. However I do have a small problem. When I register on the site it gives me the short form registration, which is correct. But when I go to update my profile as a registered user, the spry validation requires input to all of the user full registration form on the users_profile.php page. Is this a bug or it is intentional?

This is intentional.
The user can register with minimal information, but the full registration details are required when editing the user profile.
