Plotting dynamic points as horizontal lines

Plotting dynamic points as horizontal lines

I have a dynamic chart that shows actual values for temperature, pressure and/or humidity of a area.
I want to take 4 dynamic points (setpoints for high and low alarm and warning) from another chart/database and plot them as horizontal lines.
Is it possible to use a single value to draw a horizontal line across the chart?

I think your asking about combining two charts together?

see the "Creating combined charts with the XML Editor" tutorial in the solution recipes section of the dynamic web charts support page:

keeping it simple

i understand the combining of 2 charts, but that is not this case...

I am asking about the creation of one simple chart that will take a single value (dynamic in this example) and making a single horizontal line across the entire chart to represent that single value.

Most charts have 2 points of reference (e.g. time vs value), but I am interested to make a chart that has only one point of reference, which is the value. The "time" should fill the chart entirely even though there is no time reference available in the dynamic data.

No, dynamic web charts wont do this.

Any suggestions?

I would hate to ask for a refund...could this be a feature that is added?

New Thoughts

Is it possible to have half dynamic and half static?
the Y value would be dynamic and the X value would be static?

No, it will support half static and half dynamic.

the chart needs to be passed a label and a value.
