Dreamweaver/Webmaster tools

In my opinion Google webmaster tools is the best place to get an X-Ray view of how Google is looking at your site. So when I see errors I want to get them fixed asap.

I used the same template to make a few different sites.
In my google webmaster tools, under CRAWL ERRORS its showing so many page errors that it is pulling up 404 pages for active and live pages.
This is frustrating to me and I am not sure how to fix this.

My question is, is there anyone who knows of a free software to detect broken links, or link errors?

Dreamweaver has a built in feature that may help you. Under the Site menu choose ‘Check Links Sitewide.’ Or under the Window menu go down to Results. ‘Link Checker’ can be found there also.

So you're saying these crawl erros are inaccurate? That would be unusual for Google, unless it just so happened it crawled your site after you had a link in place but before you actually uploaded the page.

Have you submitted an XML site map to webmaster tools? If not, I think this may help.
