Submenus not Displaying fully in IE7

Hi,

I went through the troubleshooting PDf concerning menus in IE. I created a blank page and added the menu, but I still have the problem - in IE 7 only.

The submenu displays, but the background only expands horizontally determined by the length of the text. I want the submeus to display - filling out the block fully. They work correctly in FF, IE8, etc.

Link to test: test_menu.html

Suggestions for IE7?

Thanks
P

This is happening because you are setting the width for the menu items to 100%.

for backward compatibility with earlier versions of IE, you need to set the height and width of menu items to a pixel measurement, IE 7 wont work correctly with the width set to 100%.

Thanks, Jason. I had changed that, but I didn't change the style <!--[if lte IE 6]> to <!--[if lte IE 7]>. Now when I change the the menu_ie.ss the submenus display correctly!

Appreciate the quick help.

Cheers!
