DA Search returning numeric not text

Hi,

I've used DA to create my search and results page.
When a visitor uses the select lists to search, results (if any) are pulled from two different sql table, one being a data and the other an image table. So my result shows an image and other values from my data table.

Now, my data table is populated using select lists which pull from recordsets that contain a numeric id and a text value- so the user can see what they are selecting.

Its the id that gets inserted/updated into my data table, so when called back in my search results, the numeris id's are shown instead of the text values - i get that.

My question is, how can I have the 'text' value returned instead?
(without reverting to saving the text value instead)

you would need to edit the recordset on the results page to use a joined query that would return the related data from the child tables.
