File Permissions error on installation

File Permissions error on installation

I'm attempting to install PM into the root directory of one of my domains. As the diagnostic.php page runs, I get an error: "File Permissions - Files and directories cannot be created. Verify the PowerMessenger directory has write permissions on your server. " Have checked myself and have checked with the host ... and the file permissions appear to all be set correctly to provide write permissions. Could you help me to troubleshoot this problem.

Thank you,
Terry Montgomery

File Permissions on installation

I'm getting this error too. Is there a workaroud yet?

I'm happy to change various permissions etc., but which directory does PM need full write access to? It would helpful to know the directory in question.

Thanks in advance.

PowerMessenger needs write access to the folder that contains the PowerMessenger files.

in other words, if you access poser messenger using the address:

write access needs to be granted for the powermessenger folder
