UE 3-4 Upgrade Issues - "Email Body" page location - Duplicate Form Results in email

UE 3-4 Upgrade Issues - "Email Body" page location - Duplicate Form Results in email

We recently started using Universal Email 4 to edit forms created with version 3. We're experiencing a few issues with this and need some assistance.

1. The PHP page which creates the "Email Body" is being saved in a new location in a "webassist" folder instead of the old "WA_Universal_Email" folder (thus not replacing the original file). This would be fine, however, neither the page with the form on it nor any other files are being updated with the new location. So, by default they continue referencing the old "Email Body" PHP page.

For now, we're just manually moving the newly created "Email Body" file to replace the old one every time we make a change. Is there a way to tell Universal Email where to save the "Email Body" page, so we can direct it to the old location instead of the new? Or, is there a way to just fix the behavior so that an update made to the "Email Body" page properly updates all necessary files accordingly?

2. The email sent from our form (the one newly updated with Universal Email 4) is now displaying the entire form-submitted content (from the "Email Body" page) TWICE... separated by CSS style code. So, the email our client receives looks essentially like this:

HTML form results
CSS style code
HTML form results (duplicate)

I've uploaded the preview generated from Universal Email 4, which also displays the problem. WAUE_HTML.htm

I've been digging around through the code, but cannot find any reason why this is happening. Hopefully someone may have some ideas.

Thanks, in advance, for the assistance!

Jeremy

"Email Body" page location

I am also experiencing the same issue #1 as Jeremy. The new page created by UE4 is saved a new folder(webassist/email) but the old file created by UE3 is still used. I have not yet moved the new file to the old WA_Universal_Email folder as Jeremy has done.
I am not experiencing issue #2.

Hi Lowell!

For me, the solution was to manually change the "email body" page location as it appeared on the php page with my form. This location was being referenced in the PHP script at the very top of that form page. On my Universal Email 4 updated page, the line referencing the "email body" page location said "include("../WA_Universal_Email/WAUE_donate-securities_1.php");" (This was at about line 60 of the Webassist script which starts at the top of the page.)

All that needed to be done was to update that with the new location. For me, that was: include("../webassist/email/WAUE_donate_1.php");

I'm not sure if a later UE update will fix this or not; but for now, that's the work-around that solved my problem. Hopefully it helps you.

All the best!

Jeremy
