cCart Not working

I am on Dreamweaver CS3 I added cCart to extension manager, and when I select scart in drop down all the other drop downs are grayed out???
I used the double click on file to install and it appears it was installed properly??

before you start using ecart. you will need to define your Dreamweaver site for dynamic web development.

in the site settings set the Server Language to PHP

you then need to create a new php page, save it to your Dreamweaver Site and have that page open in Dreamweaver.

see the learning resources page for details on defining your site:
resources.php

Still won't work

I created new file .php saved as .php & .xhtml and neither work ! keeps asking what program to open in and then just opens a blank window!
this is become very confusing, some of the terms are not easily identified as to what is necessary or not!

Create the PHP File In Dreamweaver and save it to your defined Dreamweaver site.

the only time you should be prompted for a program to open the file with is if you double click it in the windows explorer, instead of double clicking i the file, use the Dreamweaver File -> Open dialog to open the file.
