Too much space on last item in horizontal menu

Too much space on last item in horizontal menu

The last menu item in the horizontal menu is too large for the amount of text it contains. I’ve set the width to be 100%. All the other items look fine, just the last one on the right which has too much space.
How can this be fixed?

to constrain the width of the menu item to size of the text automatically, need to set the width to auto instead of 100% on the anchor tag:
width: auto;

be forewarned however that his is not compatible in IE 6 or 7.

the fix for this is to add an inline style to set the width of each anchor individually:
<a href="http://www.scsconsultinggroup.com/test2011/index.html" class="link" style="width:40px;">Home</a>

Thanks Jason,

That was my fix also. I guess I was hoping for something more magical.

sorry, the magic dries up when you start taking IE into account.....
