PayPal Testing

I have a really nice eCart checkout system that I've just setup with AuthNet and PayPal.

Everything seems to be working great, except that when I order something and checkout through PayPal it doesn't seem like I actually get charged, nothing shows up on my personal Paypal account or the business one either.
I don't get any error messages at all!

This seems like a dumb question but I haven't been able to figure anything out, so I'm gonna go ahead ask it. Is there some sort of "test request" for PayPal like there is for AuthNet? The PayPal account I'm using is being used by another site right now, but as soon as my new one is finished it will replace the old one.

yes, paypal uses a sandbox for testing.

In the paypal server behaviors, there is an option to enable the paypal sandbox.

How do I know if I'm using the sandbox option or not, and how do I get it turned off.

On the checkout page, I don't see anything about PayPal in the server behaviors panel, but I can see all of the code near the top of that page. But I don't see anything about "sandbox"...

I just found this code in the PP_ECO file:

php:
$usesandbox = (isset($varvalueArray["usesandbox"]) && $varvalueArray["usesandbox"] == "true");

Do I just change it to this:

php:
$usesandbox = (isset($varvalueArray["usesandbox"]) && $varvalueArray["usesandbox"] == "false");

and then be good to go?

Or is there more to change?

if you are using Express checkout, there are 3 server behaivors:

1) on the checkout page - Authenticate transaction for Paypal express checkout.

2) on the pp_confirm page - Get Payer Profile for paypal express checkout

3) On the pp_confirm page - Process transaction with paypal express cehckout.

you will need to edit each of these and turn of the the sandbox, you will also need to enter the live server API information.

if you are using a different kind of paypal checkout method (PayPal standard or Direct Paymens) please let me know.
