Best way to edit template?

Hi
I am in the process of trying out themes and up to now found them brilliant easy to work with and when combined with plugins a total gem.

Now Lets say I have a template its converted and working as a theme my question is

If later I decide to add to the template and create another couple of editable regions how is this acieved?

1. Which file do I edit to add the regions
2. How do I make the existing pages that use the themes also have these regions?

Thanks

Mike

you have to add the editable region to both the design template and the theme template.

Open the design template, select the area to convert to an editable region, and go to Insert -> Tempalte Objects -> Editable region.

then open the Templates/themes folder and open the theme template file.

and repeat adding the new editable region. make sure to use exactly the same name (case too).

The theme template is really nothing more than a list of all the editable regions on the page.
