Fatal Error Message on Universal Email 4

I can't get my universal email to work and I get this message when attempting to use it

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: microtime_float() in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\comicracy.ieasysite.com\httpdocs\comment_standard.php on line 39

Any idea what's causing this?

the microtime_float() function is defined in the webassist/email/mailformatting_php.php.

it sounds like the require once line for that file:
<?php require_once("webassist/email/mailformatting_php.php"); ?>

is not in the right place. make sure that line is before the universal email code block.

That has cleared up the problem however my emails are still not getting through. I have all the settings correct and I have the recipient being pulled off of a database query. There is a message that pops when I try to upload the file that says "synchronization information cannot be found on connections."

This is really weird its not working now because I had it running fine before.

It also says in the background file activity: Connections- error occured- Acess Denied. The file may not exist locally, may be open in another program, or there could be a local permission problem.

your email is set to use the rsMEMBRS members recordset. the rsMEMBRS recordset is set to filter on the MemberID quersyrstring variable which is not being sent with the form post, this means when the form posts, the recordset is empty.

change the forms action:

php:
<form id="form1" name="form1" method="post"  action="">

to:

php:
<form id="form1" name="form1" method="post"  action="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($_SERVER["PHP_SELF"]); ?><?php echo (isset($_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"]) && $_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"] != "")?"?".htmlspecialchars($_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"]):""?>">

I made the change and it is still not getting through, I have attached an updated copy and I have provided the link to the page. I took off the security assist features so anyone can see the info without being logged on.

it's still basically the same issue.

the resMenemers recordset is set to filter the ID column on the MemberID querystring variable.

$colname_rsMEMBRS = "-1";
if (isset($_GET['MemberID'])) {
$colname_rsMEMBRS = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ? $_GET['MemberID'] : addslashes($_GET['MemberID']);
}
mysql_select_db($database_con2com, $con2com);
$query_rsMEMBRS = sprintf("SELECT * FROM members WHERE ID = %s", GetSQLValueString($colname_rsMEMBRS, "int"));
$rsMEMBRS = mysql_query($query_rsMEMBRS, $con2com) or die(mysql_error());
$row_rsMEMBRS = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsMEMBRS);
$totalRows_rsMEMBRS = mysql_num_rows($rsMEMBRS);

the link you sent does not include the MemberID query sting variable. the mail willl only be able to send if you include a valid ID value in the MemberID querystring variable.

Thats just the page without the query string so you could see if there was something else wrong. When I run it on a page with the query string it still does not work. Here is the actual page I work on with the query string, you can see there is a value for MemberID.

comment_standard_test.php?username=Administrator&cID=1&userID=1&avatar=1_propic.jpg&MemberID=1

Also I tried to use the feature and just manually entered the email address in universal email wizard to see if it worked and I still got no message. I have tried it with various email address too.

in the universal email settings, what did you enter for an smtp server?

What did you enter for the form address? The form address should be a valid email address for your domain.

Who is your host? DO they support using the php mail() function for sending an email through a webscript? you should contact them to see if this is supported, if using php mail() is not supported, see if they offer support for Pear mail.

in either case, you will need to know the address of the smtp server to used.
