eCart - PayPal and mobile browser

I'm making a web friendly site for one of my clients.
Cart is done in ASP with an Access backend.
Order process works fine except that when it submits to PayPal, it fails. When you return o to the site, the cart is empty.

I'm wondering ....

a) does PayPal support the Standard PAyment Gateway for handhelds?
b) is it simply timing out because of the reduced bandwidth?
c) is it a cookies issue with the mobile browser?

Has anyone tried this?
ie: ecart / mobile phone / PayPal?

I have not tried to create a mobile eCart site, so cant really say if paypal payments standard supports it or not.

before testing on the mobile device, I would test on a standard computer to see if the transaction is going through.

usually when the cart is empty message comes up, it is caused by domain switching, in other words, starting the browsing session at mydomain.com and setting the return url to use www.mydomain.com.

Thanks. It works fine on a desktop.

I'm sure it has something to do with this:

Just tested the original cart - same thing

I'm finding references at PayPal.com that would indicate we have to do something different but I'm encounting bad links when trying to investigate.

It's definitely something to do with this:
Calls SetMobileCheckout API to initiate transaction.

The API sets a token, which is appended to the PayPal payment URL.

Seems like this is something that WebAssist would want to look into.

Interesting.
The PayPal Add to Cart button, added by my WA, works just fine.

I have added a feature request for PayPal mobile AI support to be included in eCart.
