Successfully processing a purchase

I have about 50 items on my site and all of them process nicely through my eCart except one. I have tried everything I can think of, even totally replacing the item on the site, and every time I or someone else tries to purchase this item we get a checkout failure. Just on this item.

The attempt is not leaving the site because our payment gateway receives nothing.

Any ideas?

what payment gateway are you using?

see the "Debugging eCart transaction failed issues" tutorial on the eCart support page:
ecart/

this will give details on how to get the response bindings on the failure page for your gateway, add the full request and full response binding, this will give more details on what exactly is going wrong.

Jason,

Once again - brilliant!

Tutorial worked like a charm. Problem was an & in the title. Wrote out "and", updated the database and the problem was corrected.

Authorize net informed me that the Response Reason Code of 270 indicated an improper character.
