If a user makes an error filling out a form…

If a user makes an error filling out a form and is returned to the page they're returned to the top of the page.
If the form is a long one and exceeds the length of the visible page the user might not be aware that an error has occurred and could just click away to another page without ever having actually sent the form.
Can - on error - the user be returned to the place on the form where the error occurred or when returned can there be a visible notification be placed on the page?

It cannot set focus to the field with the error, but you can use the Validation Show if behavior to show a message on the page if any of the validations fail.

Type your error text at the top of the for, then select it and go to server behaviors panel (Window -> Server Behaviors). Click the plus button and select WebAssist -> Validation -> Validation Show If. Set the trigger to any.

Thanks Jason

If the form starts below the visible area of the page, than what?

you can put the validation show if behavior on your page anywhere you like, it does not have to be in the same area as the form.

Place the validation error message in the visible portion of the page.
