How to completely remove PowerCMS Builder installation

How to completely remove PowerCMS Builder installation

Hi,

I bought this extension tonight and (like many others have experienced), its not working properly and has completely messed up my site (which is a back-up version so no real harm done).

I was never able to get the installation wizard to run, despite following the gsg guide. Dreamweaver just hung. I removed the extension from Extension Manager, deleted the cache file and deleted all files that it created during it's botched installation. I then replaced the files that it had modified with back-ups pre-PowerCMS. However, there must still be some settings somewhere in Dreamweaver that think PowerCMS builder is still installed. How do I COMPLETELY remove this so I can try the installation again?

It seems that with each new extension WA release there are more and more issues - and this one, if not fixed will result in me requesting a refund.

PowerCMS web installation issue

I have just bought PowerCMS Builder, installed it in Dreamweaver CS3. Added the CMS content on a page. Uploaded the page through dreamweaver interface. When I accessed the page on the web to install PowerCMS Builder on the web, this is what I get:

Warning: require_once(WA_CMS/WA_CMS.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/lakeviewranch.com/httpdocs/press.php on line 2

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'WA_CMS/WA_CMS.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/lakeviewranch.com/httpdocs/press.php on line 2

I would like to unistall PowerCMS if support can't come up with a fix for this and ask for refund.

Please help

that error means that the WA_CMS folder was not uploaded to the server.

Make sure to upload the WA_CMS folder.

PoweCMS File Permision

I have now uploaded the entire website but now I get this:

Files and directories cannot be created. Verify the PowerCMS directory has write permissions on your server.

I have given full permision to all the folders and files that I can think of that relate to PowerCMS, but still that does not seem to help. There is no folder called PowerCMS. I even tried to create one but still no luck.

Here sre the folders I uploaded and gave full permison: WA_CMS, install_cms, js, webassit, admin_cms, cms

I'm still on step 1 of 5 on the PowerCMS installtion wizard.

Thanks

Now here is another problem I'm getting. The file database.php is already uploaded. I can even see it!

The only think I can't find is install.dwt.php!

Warning: require(install.dwt.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/lakeviewranch.com/httpdocs/install_cms/database.php on line 10

Warning: require(install.dwt.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/lakeviewranch.com/httpdocs/install_cms/database.php on line 10

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'install.dwt.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/lakeviewranch.com/httpdocs/install_cms/database.php on line 10

Warning: require(install.dwt.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rmkdirec/public_html/install_cms/serial.php on line 10

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'install.dwt.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/rmkdirec/public_html/install_cms/serial.php on line 10

I am trying to use power CMS for the first time as a test to try it out with DW CS3. It has made a db connection and a Power CMs connection and says they are okay. Then when I want to view in my testing server, I can't get past the admin login of the install section.
My remote and testing server locations are the same.

Step 1 of 5 is all okay. Step 2 of 5, serial # domain:localhost, okay. Step 3 of 5, shows localhost, database:test, username and password. I guess okay... shows no error.

Then I get to step 4 of 5... It wants Admin Login... where does this come from? I make up something and no matter what I try, I get an error and that is the end of it.

ERROR: Failed to save the settings in the database. Please verify your database connection.

And I can't go to the next step. Now what? What did I miss?
