Email settings are removed on re-edit of form

Email settings are removed on re-edit of form

On re-entering the form (EDIT FORM) to further customise the email settings (FORM FUNCTION / SEND EMAIL SETTINGS, all data was gone, even the check box to allow sending of form contents was unchecked!?

The entire Universal Email section and Bindings panel is lost!

This data appears to be removed when the file is first uploaded to a website and then downloaded to edit further.

Any/all help greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

to edit the universal Email settigns after the form has been created, go to the Server Behaviors panal (Window -> Server Behaviors) and double click the Universal Email server behavior.

Jumping in to say that I've had the same experience and couldn't understand why the forms weren't being received after edits when they had been after I first created them.
Why do the settings just disappear?
They really shouldn't.

Jason B… Are you saying that doing what you described in your post will restore the previously made settings?

It is possible to have multiple instances of universal email applied to the same page.

in the edit Form interface, you are only editing the form, not the form actions.

to edit the form actions, you need to edit the server behaviors that perform those actions such as the Universal Email server behavior.

If you edit the form actions tab in the edit form interface, you are creating another Universal Email server behavior.

After some research it seems the problem is more complex.

After I've completed my form and than choose to edit I first get an error the only choice being to click OK. The edit form interface loads and the form is displayed correctly to the right but all the fields on the left where you would choose your basic building blocks are blank.
If I choose cancel - nothing changes and the form continues to work as before.
If I choose finish - the form is still intact but all data re: email setting etc. are gone.

After having chosen finish I can now choose edit and the form editor loads without any errors and without any email settings in place.

So every time I edit I need to do it twice and I need to re-enter all email data every time I edit.

I should also mention that when I choose finish Universal email server behavior no longer exists in the Server Behaviors panel.
I've attached 2 screen shots to illustrate.
