Pages not displaying correctly in Dreamweaver CS5

Created a new site and it looks correct when uploaded & viewed live using Firefox;

index.php

When viewing same page in Dreamweaver, it looks like the attached file

Any ideas ?

Dreamweaver's design view is not a terribly accurate display. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done if the Dreamweaver design window is not displaying the design correctly.

Fixed, but .....

Thanks Jason.

I'm just a little surprised that using the exact default template created by your extension, FOR DREAMWEAVER, using supposed 'CSS Compliant' coding, the template does not display correctly !

Surely someone checked this ?

Anyway, if I modify what the extension has created and insert a <p></P> in a suitable place, the preview works perfectly, and the extra paragraph looks OK.

Same issue - what is the "right place"

Hi,
I have the same issue.
Pages once uploaded look fine, but in Dreamweaver just a black screen with a </head> error message at the top displays in the design view.

I appreciate your question and the solution you provided.
What is the "right place" for the "<p></P>" code to be inserted.

It is a nuisance to say the least that pages can not be viewed in Dreamweaver and if there is a fix I would like to implement it.

Just curious but does anyone know why this works?

Thanks
Wade
