Form will not send e-mail

I'm having issues with forms I created with CSS FB. None of them will send e-mails! I tried deleting the form, contents, and web assist folder and starting from scratch but have the same problem!! I have double clicked Universal Mail under Server Behaviors and tried different things to test the problem like using different e-mail addresses in the To, CC and BCC fields, and using the email address entered into the form for sending - nothing works.

HELP!

Are you testing locally or remotely?

You should be testing remotely, in most cases, the local testing server will not have an smtp server installed.

Who is your Host?

What have you entered for the SMTP Server settings?

For the From address, you should use a static address that is a valid address for your hosting domain.

You can click the From button on the main Universal Email screen a=to access advanced from settings, here you can bind the Return address option to the from form element.

In answer to your questions:

A) I am testing remotely.
B) My host is HostMonster
C) SMTP: I have no idea what this means please explain more
D) My forms are set to send from established e-mails hosted with my host company, they still don't send.

The SMTP Server is the outgoing mail server. When the universal email script runs, it creates the email message, then passes it to the SMTP server. From there, it is up to the SMTP server to relay the message to the recipient.

They SMTP server is maintained by the host. If you are not sure of the server address to use, you will need to contact them.

It does not look like host monster offers support for the standard mail object in Universal Email. though it seams they support Pear Mail.

You will need to configure the server settings tab (Click on the envelop icon) in universal email to use the Pear mail for SMTP method instead of the standard mail object.

Host monster will be able to tell you the settings that should be used for the SMTP server, port and Path To pear.
