Digital goods download outside of SITE ROOT?

Digital goods download outside of SITE ROOT?

I don't see a way to add new folder outside of my SITE ROOT for a digital goods download area. Do I need to contact GoDaddy and ask them to create this directory for me?

If your hosting package is on a shared server, you may not be able to create folders outside of the sites root, you would need to contact GoDaddy to see if they can create the folder for you, though they probably will not. your best option would be to upgrade to a dedicated server hosting account.
