Upgrading a Site that Uses HTML Editor 2 to Editor 3

Ok, so I bought HTML Editor 3, and am all excited to install this, however I need to know in advance what effect this will have on a site that already uses HTML Editor 2? Are there any extra steps that need to be taken, do i need to reapply the html editor to all the pages ect?

I think it would be great to have a sticky for all upgrades to address these version upgrade issues. I have a lot of work that uses html editor 2 and am afraid that when i install html editor 3 i am going to face a whole bunch of issues. I am assuming that webassist has thought of this? Is it seamless?

Anybody have any experience with this yet, or do i have to be the test gerbil?

make note of the name for the HTML Editor 2 instance, then delete it from the page.

then insert the html editor 3 instance and give it the same name as the HTML editor 2 instance you just deleted.

Jason - will running HTML Editor 3 overwrite anything used in v2? Do I HAVE to rename instances on pages I built with v2 in a site I will be adding new pages with v3? Was this clear?

no, html editor 3 will not overwrite HTML editor 2, that is why you need to delete HTML editor 2 from the page before adding the HTML editor 3 instance.
