Setting Up Power Gallery on Localhost Testing Server

Hi

I am trying to run Power Gallery on my Localhost testing server. I have put the folder in the htdocs folder and opened up the index page to run the wizard. I am running XAMPP with mySQL. The version of XAMPP includes PHP 5.3.4.

However it is stating in the first step:

"All of the attributes below need to check out before you can proceed to the next step"

'PHP 5.3.4 is installed'

'GD Image Library [bundled (2.0.34 compatible)] is installed'

'Files and directories can be created'

Could you please tell me the steps i need to take to run powergallery and overcome the problems listed above. Could you also tell me what else i need to complete the setup, do i need to create a database etc?

Thanks

Paul

Yes you need to create an empty Database first then run the install again

most likely, cURL is not enabled on the local server.

see the following page for details on enabling cURL in xampp:
