question382438

menu pushing table to the right - only in chrome

I'm sure there is a simple solution to this problem.

All is good in firefox and explorer:
index.asp

But problem in chrome wherein table is displayed to the right of the menu instead of below menu.

Any solutions?

TIA.

The issue is the way the page is layed out.

the basic structure is:
<div>
<table>header</table>
<ul>Mmneu</ul>
</div>
<table>
Main Content
</table>

probably the simplest way to get this to layout correctly is going to be a master table around the two peices:
<table>
<tr>
<td>
<div>
<table>header</table>
<ul>Mmneu</ul>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<table>
Main Content
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Thx Jason for the info. I will give it a shot today.

I thought that ideally, the menu should not be stored in a table as this may cause problems. Am I in error in this thought process?

Since your site layout relies on tables, you will need to use tables to force the layout of the menu in to the correct place.
